- There is a particular course I am offering this semester that is very voluminous and it’s a 5-hours class in just a day.
Therefore, every blessed Tuesday morning is a day to get set for this particular Microbiology course.
One most annoying thing about it is getting to class as early as 8a.m in order
A times, you will see students waiting for 30 minutes before the door is being opened. And trust me, immediately the door is opened, students begin to struggle to enter. I have been injured on several occasions in the course of students pushing each other.
The lecture room is small to accommodate all students from Chemistry, Botany, Microbiology and Food Technology students that are offering the course ,this greatly contribute to the struggles all the time.
The part that makes me feel sad most is that of waiting…
Students stand till they get tired.
Practically everything student do in UI requires waiting for hours. Ranging from course registration, you see students standing for hours to fetching water alone, there will still be a long queue.
To make use of the bathroom a times, you still have to wait as people might be many in the bathroom already.
It can be frustrating a times but what will a student do?
So, on a particular Tuesday, I got to Microbiology class some minutes after 8 and alas the door was opened already.
Going late to class that particular day wasn’t intentional though but who could have known that the gates will be opened earlier than 8:30a.m.
Rather, the door was already opened as early as 8:05a.m.
I wasn’t happy that day because I know the front seats would have been occupied by students that got there early which literally means I was to sit at the back row.
Similarly, we wait on God daily in prayers daily.
Praying is the medium through which we connect to God.
But do you know there are times when we wait on God(pray) but seems He isn’t near to answer.
There are times it seems the answers are delayed.
A lot give up so soon when they experience such.
The truth, however, is that you never know when the answer will come.
You have been going to church all along but just decided to stop or to start going late all because you felt it’s not worth the waiting anymore.
My dear, you should know that the thoughts God has towards you is that of peace and not of evil. He isn’t delaying as you think but rather want you to be patient and endure .
Imagine students that came late that particular day just because they couldn’t endure the 30 minutes standing, they will be surprised and sad when they finally arrived.
What am I saying?
Is there anything you have been asking God for since the beginning of the year but haven’t gotten?
Are you losing hope already as the year draws close to an end?
Are you planning on giving up on that particular project just because it’s not yielding much result as expected?
Are you already tired waiting in prayers to know the will of God in marriage?
You don’t have to be!!
During the period of waiting, you have to be patient…
Never give up
You never can tell when doors are going to be opened for you.
It seems the door is being closed for too long but don’t be surprised the key is on the way already.
It’s better to wait than backing out and regretting afterward.
Keep waiting (in prayers and hard work) and you would definitely laugh last.
The top you are pursuing is for you.
Don’t let people overtake you because of lack of Patience.
Remember, a lot are also waiting for the same door to be opened.
Your waiting won’t be a waste!!!!
