Powerful Detox Drink Recipe to Burn Stubborn Belly Fat

Powerful Detox Drink Recipe to Burn Stubborn Belly Fat

Belly fat is the excessive fat found around the abdomen. Belly fat can be so embarrassing especially when one is expected to wear a smart cloth. This issue of gaining fat around the belly has been one of the major concerns of many these days. It seems more people are having this challenge every blessed day. The question is that what could have been those things that actually causes belly fat? You need to know the cause of a problem before you can proffer solutions and as well prevent further reoccurrences, right? That’s why it’s important to know the reasons why people gain belly fat in order to have a better understanding of how to burn the fat and also prevent gaining the fat again after burning. From my research, I’ve come to understand some of the reasons why people gain excessive belly fat and I will gladly love to share with you. 10 REASONS WHY PEOPLE GAIN BELLY FAT 1) High intake of sugary drinks and foods: I’m starting with this because a lot of people are guilty of this. High sugary drinks and foods including cakes and candies, sweet tea and carbonated drinks are among what an average person consumes daily. However, consumption of these sugary foods and drinks have been discovered to be belly of the major factors that causes belly fat because sugar slows down metabolism. 2) Alcohol: The excess calories from consumption of alcohol is stored as fat, and like sugar, alcohol slows down fat burning and metabolism. 3) Lack of exercise/Inactivity: If a person consumes more calories than she/he burns off, such a one will gain weight especially belly fat over time. One of the most effective ways to burn calories is through exercising. Squatting, Child pose, Sit Up, Planking are some of the forms of exercises that help in getting rid of belly fat. 4) Low protein and fibre diet: High protein diets will make you full even with little quantity which invariably leads to increase in metabolic rate and lead to a spontaneous reduction in calorie intake. So, if on the other hand, you eat low-protein and high-carb diets, you tend to overeat which might cause decrease in metabolic rate. 5) Late night eating: Eating late at night increases the risk of having indigestion. The metabolic rate is also slowed down at this point, thereby, causing increase in belly fat. 6) Insufficient sleep: Inadequate sleep greatly have a role in gaining belly fat. Also, some sleeping disorders especially sleep apnea (a condition in which breathing stops repeatedly during the night due to soft tissue in the throat blocking the airway) has been been confirmed to be associated with belly fat. 7) Old age: As one ages, the metabolism naturally slows down, and total body fat gradually increases. 8) Frequent Indigestion: Indigestion results majorly as a results of eating too much, eating too fast, eating high-fat foods and drinking too much alcohol or caffeinated. Overeating slows down digestive process. Food eaten in large quantities remain in the stomach for a longer period of time eventually turns into fat. 9) Stress: A steroid hormone known as cortisol helps the body control and deal with stress. Whenever a person is in a dangerous or high-pressure situation, the body will release cortisol which have impact on metabolism. And it has been proven that people tend to eat anyhow when they’re stressed making them over eat. Cortisol produced will now cause the excess calories from overeating to get stored around the belly, thereby resulting in belly fat. 10) Menopause: Most women tend to gain belly fat during menopause due to hormonal changes in the body. However, hormonal changes alone don’t necessarily cause belly fat. It is as well associated with aging and lifestyle. DOES BELLY FAT HAS EFFECT ON THE HEALTH AT ALL? Oh Yes! It does. Belly fat poses dangerous threat to health. It increases chances of developing a number of serious health issues, including diabetes, gallbladder problems, etc   Today, I have a simple recipe for a detox drink that helps in burning belly fat. I’veย  this remedy before and it worked. What do you need to prepare this belly fat drink? Ginger also prevents fluid retention that prevents bloating! Lemon: Studies have shown that when it comes to getting rid of belly fat, lemon water is amazing. Lemon water detoxifies your liver. This is important because when the liver is clean, it works best and it metabolizes fat so the fat doesnโ€™t get stored in your stomach. Health Benefits of Folic Acid

Let’s talk about acid. Not the regular chemical acid you know. This particular acid is a beneficial one. It is called FOLIC ACID. Folic acid is a form of folate( man-made form) a derivative of vitamin B that is found in fruits , vegetables and nuts and helps protect against some serious birth defects. Do you know that Folic acid is very essential for women the more? Yes, it is. Let me take you through some benefits of folic acid. 1. Folic acid helps in the prevention of birth defects (such as spina bifida and anencephaly). This is key because it is an important ingredient that forms the genetic material. This is why women of childbearing age and those who desire to be pregnant and/or are pregnant are encouraged to take this. Other research links adequate consumption of folic acid to the prevention of autism, cleft lip and palate and rheumatoid arthritis. 2. It helps in the prevention of a form of anemia known as folate-deficiency anemia. 3. Essential in the formation of red blood cells. 4. Recently some studies added that it helps decrease age-related hearing loss. As a B-vitamin, this acid is water soluble and can be found in some foods naturally. Broccoli It can also be found in fortified cereals, bread, pastas etc When not taken adequately, it can be prescribed or added in some fortified foods. In fact, it is known that a healthy diet does not even have enough folic acid so taking the folic acid pills is also required especially for those trying to conceive or are pregnant. However, only take folic acid pills as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take it in larger amounts or for longer than recommended. It is also essential to take folic acid with enough water. Every woman over age 14 are expected to consume about 400mcg a day and this increases during pregnancy. The easiest way to this is by eating more of leafy vegetables and fruits. When buying canned foods/cereals/ milk, look at the nutrition content as well. (This will help you not only get foods that contain folic acids but also foods that are low in saturated fat and sugar).

Causes, Symptoms and Treatments of Allergies

There are 100 million allergy-related Google searches a year and hundreds of Facebook pages dedicated to the subject. Allergies are frustrating, restrictive and sometimes frightening conditions and they seem to be rising at an astonishing rate even in developed countries. Allergies are overreactions of the immune system in response to something that is normally harmless. Different allergies are distinct conditions, which have different triggers, symptoms โ€“ from mild to life-threatening – and treatments, and occur at different rates in the population. Some allergies have similar symptoms to other conditions. Food intolerances, which can be unpleasant but don’t pose the same threats, are often confused with food allergies, which are less common and potentially dangerous. Some people with asthma, eczema and rhinitis are allergic, while others are not. Allergies can be seen in almost every organ, most commonly in the skin and the mucous membranes. Allergology is the science regarding allergic diseases and their differential diagnoses and mechanisms. The term โ€œAllergyโ€ was first coined on July 24, 1906 as โ€œspecifically altered reactivity of the organism. Allergy is not a disease itself, but a mechanism leading to disease. In clinical practice, allergy manifests in form of various different conditions such as anaphylaxis, urticaria, angioedema, allergic rhino-conjunctivitis, allergic asthma, serum sickness, allergic vasculitis, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, atopic dermatitis (eczema), contact dermatitis and granulomatous reactions, as well as the colourful spectrum of food- or drug โ€“ induced hypersensitivity reactions. For most people with allergies, the first exposure to an allergen prompts their immune system to produce an antibody called immunoglobulin E (IgE). With each subsequent exposure, their body produces more IgE, which attaches itself to two types of cells in the body โ€“ mast cells and basophils. When the allergen attaches to the IgE, the mast cells and basophils are activated to release histamine and other chemicals to defend against the allergen โ€œinvader.โ€ The release of these chemicals causes allergic reactions, as the personโ€™s body attempts to rid itself of the allergen โ€œinvader.โ€ Common allergies include those to food and airborne allergens such as pollen, mold, dust mites and animal dander, urine and saliva. Allergies can be seasonal, like pollen or certain molds, or year-round, like dust mites. Different types of allergens are more prevalent in different parts of the country or the world.   ย  ย  ย  ย  ย CAUSES OF ALLERGIES 1) Genetic Disposition: Some people have a genetic tendency towards developing allergies. This is called atopy and is why being allergic can run in families. However, being atopic does not guarantee an allergy will develop, it just means it is more likely. Atopic family members frequently have different kinds of allergies to each other. Identical twins are more likely to have the same allergies. Genetic factors have a role but canโ€™t help us predict exactly who will develop an allergy. 2) Exposure To Allergens: The case of exposure to allergens as a cause of allergy is even more complex. Sometimes exposure to an allergen helps reduce the risk of developing an allergy to it but sometimes exposure to an allergen brings on an allergy. Prolonged exposure to workplace materials such as flour, tobacco dust or the dander of animals can lead to the development of allergic conditions including occupational asthma. Occupational exposure can also give rise to contact allergies to substances such as latex in rubber gloves. ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  DIAGNOSIS There is no one allergy test that can alone diagnose an allergy. Each of the diagnostic stages above need to be carried out under the care of a medical professional in conjunction with a face-to-face consultation because results from the tests must be considered in the context of the patientโ€™s medical history. Applied kinesiology looks for muscle weakness after test substances are placed in the patientโ€™s mouth or hands. Muscle weakness has no relationship to whether the patient is allergic to the substance. In fact, results of kinesiology tests are heavily influenced by the tester. Cytotoxic tests (ALCAT, FACT, Bryanโ€™s test) expose a personโ€™s blood sample to test substances. The reaction of the white blood cells is observed. But the reaction of blood cells is the same in people with and without allergies. Food-specific IgG testing (food intolerance test, YorkTest, Hemocode) looks for specific IgG antibodies against food stuffs in the blood. IgG antibodies are part of the immune system with a key role in fighting infections but the best medical evidence has shown elevated IgG levels do not suggest an allergy. Results are frequently positive in individuals who do not have an allergy or a food intolerance. Hair testing in most cases uses electro-acupuncture to look at the electromagnetic resonance of a lock of hair. Hair is not involved in allergic reactions so testing hair samples cannot provide any useful information on allergic status. Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques (NAET) is based on the idea that allergies are cause by โ€˜energy blockageโ€™ and can be diagnosed by muscle testing and cured by acupuncture. There is no credible evidence that this technique can diagnose or treat allergy. Vega test combines acupuncture and homeopathy theory and measures electronic resistance across the skin at various points. The measurements have no relation to allergic status and the test cannot distinguish between people who have an allergy and those who don’t. ย  ย  TYPES AND SYMPTOMS OF ALLERGY a) Airborne Allergies Airborne allergies can range from seasonal annoyances to year-round problems in the form of allergic rhinitis (symptoms of the nose and throat) and/or allergic conjunctivitis (symptoms of the eyes). Airborne allergy symptoms include: Sneezing Itchy nose/throat Nasal congestion Coughing Itchy, watery and/or red eyes Dark circles around eyes Common airborne allergies include; Dust, Pollen, Mold, Pet dander, saliva and urine b) Food Allergies Severity and development of food allergies depend on the quantity of the food eaten, the amount of exposure an individual has had, and the childโ€™s sensitivity to the food. Food allergies are usually not lifelong, with the exception of certain peanut, tree nut and

7 Reasons Why Students Fail

Follow my blog with Bloglovin I ย was once a student and I’ll still be a student again one day. In fact, I do tell people that I am still a student even though I am not in school at the moment. Yes, I love school a lot ๐Ÿ˜. When I was a student, I can say I succeeded but at the same time I failed several times. And I’ve come to realize there were 7 major reasons why I failed back then and these reasons are still what make a lot of students fail nowadays. One day, I’ll share with you how I succeeded even after failing but I’ll love to start by sharing reasons why I failed at some points and why students still fail. After analyzing all these, I’m sure you will even have solutions to why you’re failing already. 1) Laziness and procrastination: I’ll boldly say that these two are the lead reasons why most students fail? Laziness and procrastination are twin. They work hand in hand. Wherever you see laziness, you’ll see procrastination by the side and vice versa. Laziness and procrastination will make some students not read at the right time. Laziness and procrastination will make some students never to write in class. Laziness and procrastination will make some students never to do assignments at the right time. Laziness and procrastination won’t allow students to read early enough till exam is at the corner. I really did this one a lot. I don’t really take reading seriously until exams are around the corner. And I won’t even start serious reading until I see the time table. And when I see the time table, I will start reading the last course on the time table first. So bad! All my actions were backed with the fact that even if I read earlier before exams I will forget, so why don’t I just wait till exam is near before I start reading. While it might had worked for me a little, it won’t work for a whole lot of people especially for those that needs to read severally before they can grasp what they’re reading. Later on, I also came to realise that even if I forget what I read at the beginning of a semester, I should have just keep reading. When it is exam period, I’ll find it easier to assimilate faster. 2) Lack of time management: Most times, it seems there are no enough time for a student. Imagine a student that has 7am to 6pm lectures, goes to church from there and gets back by 9pm. Such a student will still want to do assignment, find something to eat, rest and revise his/her book, right? At the end, the student will conclude there is no time for him/her at all. The scenario above is true but I’ll say not applicable at all times. When students complain like these, the next thing I ask them is to give me a break down of their academic time table. At the end of it all, one will discover that even though there are days that are jam packed with lectures like that but at the same time, there are days that are not. So as a student, what are you doing with those days that are free? What about the in between time? For instance, you have 7am to 1pm lectures, then break period between 1pm to 3pm before the evening lectures between 3pm to 6pm. Tell me, what are using the period between 1pm to 3pm to do? To gist with fellow course mates/class mates? Well, I’m not saying one shouldn’t relate with fellow students as well. But do you know that that period of 2hours is so golden and shouldn’t be wasted? You can go back to the hostel to take a nap, wash your clothes, prepare a meal or even go get some things you need before you go back for evening lectures. If your hostel is far from home, you can use that time to go and read, meditate or even pray. At least, that time won’t be wasted and you’d have done 1 or 2 things out of things you need to do. The truth is that even if there is no enough time, one still needs to manage the little time he/she has. 3) Comparison: Many students fail because they compare themselves with others. They just want to do things like their colleagues which doesn’t work for them at the end. There is something I do tell people whenever I have the privilege to talk to them that they should know themselves and what works better for them. As a student, just because you see your roommate going to the reading room early in the morning doesn’t mean you should do same. However, personally study yourself and know when and how you can assimilate best. Taking myself as a case study, I’d rather love to read during the midnight than reading during the day. It works best for me. I love doing things during the midnight even to replying of chats and writing. So, what do I do? I make sure I sleep a little while (even if it’s just 30 minutes) during the day so I can stay awake for like 3 hours during the night. That doesn’t mean I don’t read during the day as well. In fact, I read during the day more but at the time I know I will assimilate fast. I can’t just be wasting my time reading when I can’t assimilate or retain anything, I’d rather use that time to watch Korea movies ๐Ÿ˜‚ This also applies to knowing what strategy works best for you. Do you love to skim through your notes first, jot down some points and begin intense reading? Or you will love to read extensively, solve questions, then read again? My own trick is this: I love it when someone has read a particular topic, then summarise it

20 things to do when you are bored

Boredom is a common issue everyone experiences at one point or the other in life.ย  Although while some get bored easily, some rarely do. Being bored can be likened to the feeling associated with joblessness. You just feel you have nothing to do. You feel a kind of emptiness springing from within which you can’t really lay hold on. My Favourite Korean Dish: Kimchi

Tada! I want to quickly take you to Korea for a moment. I’m a Nigerian by birth and citizenship but a Korean by love and heart ๐Ÿ˜ . What do I mean? My love for Korean is triple much. This is one of the fun facts you need to know about me. In fact, I see myself travelling to Jeju Island, Seoul or Jeonju one day. I don’t like/watch American movies for so many reasons but I watch Korean movies very well. And I can not watch any Korean movie without learning something new. My favorite Korean actress is Park Min Young. I’ve watched some of her series which are City Hunter, Queen for Seven Days, What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, Her Private Life, etc I also love the fact that Korea promotes herbal medicine very well. Okay, let me not digress too much. You see, anytime I’m watching Korean movies, I look forward to their dishes or meals. The table setting alone is always breathtaking. Korean just have varieties of food ranging from Ddukbokki, Bibimbap, Hangover Stew (Haejangguk), etc Over the years of watching Korean movies, I’ve gotten so much acquainted with some of their meals. I remember how watching a Korean movie one day made me opt for noodles as lunch. Koreans refer to noodles as Ramen. Ramen is commonly used in most Korean movies. I don’t like noodles before but Koreans had made me start falling in love with it so much. My love for Korean dishes had also pushed me to learn how to cook some of them. And obviously when I go to Korea one day, I’ll be able to eat most of their mouth watering foods. Better still, I can just go to any international restaurant in Nigeria andย  myself to a Korean dish. So far so good, Kimchi happens to be my Korean best choice. I salivate whenever I see it while watching any Korean movie. Kimchi is not really a dish but something that is vital to any Korean meal. It is a traditional Korean dish consisting of pickled vegetables. It is mainly served as a side dish with every meal, but also can be served as a main dish.ย  Let me quickly share the little knowledge I have on how to prepare this sumptuous dish. There are varieties of Kimchi ranging from Pa kimchi (green onions), oi sobagi (cucumber), dongchimi (radish water), Bossam kimchi, etc The commonest one is paechu kimchi, made with napa cabbage. And that’s the one we’re looking at today. INGREDIENTS   1 medium head napa cabbage (about 2 pounds) 1/4 cup iodine-free sea salt or kosher salt Water Grated garlic Grated peeled fresh ginger Granulated sugar (optional) Fish sauce or salted shrimp paste 1 to 5 tablespoons Korean red pepper flakes (gochugaru) 8 ounces Korean radish or daikon radish, peeled and cut into matchsticks 4 medium scallions   PROCEDURES 1) The first thing is to cut the cabbage. Cut the cabbage lengthwise through the stem into quarters and add salt to the cabbage. Massage the salt into the cabbage until it starts to soften a bit. Then, add enough water to cover the cabbage and place a heavy something like a rod on top of the cabbage to weigh it down. This is to squeeze out the brine in the cabbage. Allow this to stand for 2 to 4 hours. 2) Blend the garlic, ginger, sugar, and fish sauce, shrimp paste and stir into a smooth paste. Stir in the gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes). Use 1 tablespoon for mild and up to 5 tablespoons for spicy taste. Then, set aside until the cabbage is ready. 3) Once the cabbage is ready, combine with the vegetables and spice paste made. Then, add the radish and scallions radish, green onions, mustard greens, garlic mixture, chili powder thoroughly using your hands. Note: It’s advisable to put on long gloves while making kimchi. This is to protect your hands from burns and stains! 5) Pack the kimchi, seal and place jar. Let the jar stand at cool room temperature for 1 to 5 days in order to ferment. Refrigerate when ready. Kimchi is best eaten about 3 or 4 weeks after preparation.     Like I said earlier, Kimchi can be eaten alone but it is mostly added to soup, as a side dish, or with veggie burgers. When Kimchi gets too fermented to eat alone, one can also make hot pots, flatcakes, dumplings with it. Kimchi has been proven to be very much healthy. It helps in weight loss and having healthy skin. It is also full of probiotics, vitamin A, B and C, and antioxidants, It’s also been discovered that it can even help cure some diseases like diabetes. The vegetables (radish, cabbage and scallion) have amazing health benefitsย  which I’ll love to share with you one day. Thanks for going with me to Korea ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ˜Gamsahabnida๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐโค

Focus on your FOCUS

Focus can simply defined as concentration of attention. It means all what you give your attention to. Keeping your attention focused on important things in your life is one of the essential ingredients needed to move forward quickly. From the word FOCUS, there are 5 major things everyone needs to focus on. You need to keep your attention on your: 1) F- FUTURE : Yes, that’s where your fortune lies in and not in the past. Grab the future and make the best out of it. The future is brighter than you could ever imagine. Forget those things which are behind, and reach out unto those things which are before. Concentrate on what the future has in stock for you this year. O- OPPORTUNITIES: As God is bringing those opportunities across your path this year, focus on and make use of them effectively. You’ve got no reason to be lethargic anymore. Someone might tell you that since you’ve lost some opportunities before, you can’t ever regain them back. That’s a blatant lie. Look up for those fresh opportunities coming your way and focus on them. C- CREATOR: You must never stop focusing on God because if you take away your gaze from him, you might miss a step. A step you miss might cause you a great fall and lead to disasters. Focus, Refocus and Focus on God than ever before. U – UNIQUENESS: Everyone is created uniquely. There’s a distinct YOU in every person. All you need to do is to look inwardly and focus on these unique things embedded in your life. Don’t dwell too much on your weaknesses but rather Focus and work on your strength and uniqueness. S- SUCCESS: Another thing you need to focus on is your SUCCESS even though the journey to success might not be easy. On the way to success land, you will definitely encounter tonnes of failure. Nevertheless, you don’t have to dwell too long on the failures you encounter. Only bring out lessons from them to acquire that success you envisage.

Letting Go is Hard

Just imagine God telling you to let go of someone you hold so dear to your heart. Imagine Him telling you to let go of that fine duplex of yours for a face to face apartment. Imagine Him asking you to let go of the last money on you while you even have tonnes of debt to pay. Imagine Him telling you to LET GO of something of much importance to you. Think about it. Just imagine it. In all sincerity, LETTING GO is hard but it is always the best especially when God is the one telling you to let go. I’ve come to understand that LETTING GO to LET GOD have His way is one of the most rewarding things I can ever do. I imagine the kind of faith and grace father Abraham had when God told HIM to let go of Isaac, despite having him at a very old age. A whole Isaac, the child of promise. It is certain that Abraham must have loved Isaac dearly but Abraham was willing to let GO of his Isaac. And what was the end of it all? God had His way and glorified Himself. The question is ARE YOU WILLING TO LET GO of your Isaac so as to LET GOD have His way? So far in 2020, God has been dealing with me on letting go of so many things. Things I’d look at or think about and tears will gather in my eyes within seconds. However, I didn’t cry because I do not want to LET GO but because LETTING GO was hard and I just needed God to give me faith that is far beyond that of Father Abraham. I just needed to trust God and follow His lead. He knows better than I do. Is God telling you to let GO of something but seems hard? Let me tell you few things to do that has been helping me: 1) Have a settled mind that God has a better reason for asking you to LET GO. Your human reasoning will want to debate that but you just have to LET GO. 2) Cry to God and tell him it’s hard. Tell Him to embrace you with His warm hug. Tell him to let you see beyond the present and see the reasons why you need to LET GO. 3) Get busy. I mean instead of sitting and brooding over the thoughts of those things you need to let go, channel yourself into doing something worthwhile. Listen to messages that will build your faith at that moment. Read books. Find a company of spiritual and positive people that can keep you alive at that moment you want to feel down. Trust me, at the end of it, you’ll be glad to LET GO. Letting Go is Hard but it’s always worth it.

Vision Twenty-Twenty (2020)

Dear reader, follower and subscriber, I welcome you once again to Year 2020: our year of BREAKING FORTH INTO MORE BLESSEDNESS. Permit me to say it’s Year Twenty Plenty simply because we’re going to experience a lot of abundance in every area of our lives this year. Let me just quickly remind us of this: Today is the 15th day in the first month in the year 2020. Just like that, we’re barely into the half of the first month of the year. What does that means? The much anticipated 2020 is going gradually, right? Before, I do imagine why everyone has been clamoring about 2020 so much. But I got my answer later on. It’s simply because it is the beginning of another decade. Well, to some the beginning of a new decade starts in 2021. Whether 2020 or 2021 is a new decade, the fact still remains that 2020 is the beginning of the twenty twenties. And one can’t just start a new decade recklessly. In fact, most countries, organizations and even individual person have been waiting for year 2020? Let’s look at one of the visions of Nigeria for 2020 is ๐Ÿ‘‡ By 2020 Nigeria will be one of the 20 largest economies in the world, able to consolidate its leadership role in Africa and establish itself as a significant player in the global economic and political arena. Now, let’s come back to US How far with our own visions for 2020? Spiritually, Financially, Maritally, what visions do you have? Let me quickly ask you these following questions? Did you prepare at all for 2020? Are you still planning to prepare for the year? Have you started out well with your plans but seems things are getting somehow already? Or do you have plans but feel like you should chill a little before you start to implement them? Do you have plans and you feel like your plans are too outrageous? First and foremost, let us know that God Himself has plans for us in this 2020? Jeremiah 29:11 affirms that ๐Ÿ‘‡ For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (NIV) So, if God has plans for us to prosper this year, there’s no excuse for us not to map out our own plans on how God’s plan for us will be achieved. Do we get that? Now, I’ll love to say that it’s not too late to have visions OR map out plans for 2020 If you’ve done that before, that’s fine. But the question is, are you running with those visions? If you’ve not, then get set to start tonight What are the things you need to do as regards those VISIONS OF YOURS for year 2020? Number one thing is to PRAYERFULLY WRITE DOWN THOSE VISION(S) See what the Bible has to say about this ๐Ÿ‘‡ And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it – Habakkuk 2:2 What’s the essence of writing and writing? Writing has a way of helping you have a check on yourself. If you just keep those visions in your mind, something else will cloud them one day and you forgets about those visions. That’s why you need to WRITE themGet a new jotter, a diary, highlighters or different colours of pen and WRITE your visions in a colourful way that you’ll always love to look at. If drawing is better for you, then, draw your VISION BOARD – A board displaying images that represent one’s dreams and ambitions, used as a form of self-help. Segment your life into areas you have visions for and prayerfully write what your visions for those areas are For me, I came up with 7 segments and 6 strategies. The sections are: 1) Spiritual 2) Health 3) Career/Passion/Skill/Academics/Works 4) Family and Friends 5) Social 6) Finance 7) Personal/mind Let’s quickly look at these 7 segments critically 1) Spiritual What are your visions and goals for your spiritual life this year? Do you have a time table to follow in finishing the Bible this year? How many messages do you wish to listen to? How many spiritual books do you want to read? How many days do you want to fast? How many souls do you want to win for Christ? How many people do you want to inspire daily? How many personal vigils do you wish to hold? How many Bible verses do you want to memorize? How many times do you want to have personal retreat? How many people do you want to intercede for? How many hours do you want to use for your quiet time daily? And you have to be specific ๐Ÿ˜Š For instance, I wrote that I must have read 60 books by the end of 2020 and listen to at least one message per week ๐Ÿ˜Š 2) Health How healthy do you want to be at the and of 2020? How many minutes do you want to exercise daily? How often do you want to take fruits?๐Ÿ˜Š How many hours sleep do you want to have daily? What about a balanced diet roaster? And lots more 3) Career/Academics/Passion/Skill/Work/Talent: As a student, what grade do you want to have at the end of the session? How fast do you want your business to grow? How many volunteering work do you wish to engage in? How do you wish to make use of your Talents? How do you wish to balance your work with other aspect? Etc 4) Family and Friends: How often do you want to check on your family and friends?
