I couldn’t endure the scorching sun for long anymore, therefore I got to walk briskly into my room. “How could I have forgotten taking my umbrella with me while going out”, I muttered.
It’s really been a stressful day and all I yearned for
I hurriedly got into the kitchen hoping to meet sumptuous food which I was ready to devour but on the contrary, the whole pots were empty.
Oh God!!!, I exclaimed.
Why can’t Oyinda just change for a while. She has been indoor for hours and she couldn’t even prepare any meal. I felt so unhappy that I wasn’t aware of the tears coming from my face already.
How I wished I cooked in the morning before dashing out to meet an old time friend.
Now, I am terribly hungry and thirsty at the same time. Without thinking twice, I dashed out to Mama Comfort’s store to get small chops and a chilled soft drink.
Oh, I promised to reduce my soft drinks intake but couldn’t help it anymore at this point. I just needed to eat something by all means.
I felt relaxed after devouring my small chops & I decided to chill a bit by watching some lovely movies on YouTube.
Right there, my eyes got glued to a movie. The title of the movie already depicts it to be a sensual one but I couldn’t take off my eyes from the movie.
Right there, my conscience kept pricking me. I could hear the silent voice saying, “Sandra, beware”.
Nonetheless, I couldn’t help the situation as I already got engrossed in it and before I knew it, I fell again.
Yes, I have committed that act again. Oh Masturbation!! How could I?

This happens to be an ordeal of a young girl called Sandra.
Just a little look makes Sandra drifted away. She found herself swarming in the ocean of sin just because she couldn’t put her eyes under subjection.
This is the trend that many people follow in this generation.
They believe watching pornography, reading romantic novel, watching erotic movies and masturbating isn’t a sin as far as the person involved is not committing fornication/adultery. This ideology is wrong. All the aforementioned above all fall under sexual sins.
And it has been well known that majority fall into sexual sins as a result of what they see. And the organs for seeing is the EYES.
The eyes is a sensitive organ of the body. The human eye is organ of vision. It plays a very important role not only in life but also the human body.
Once your eyes caught attention of anything, the sclera, cornea, iris, lens, etc that constitute the eyes all work together and send a rapid signal to the brain. Definitely, the brain is a powerful processing box of human body. The brain in turn, process those signals into thoughts.
Thoughts produce feelings. Feelings then lead us to act accordingly. When those actions are repeated over time, they become our habits.
You see how important the eye is?
What we see easily stick faster than what we hear.
Job 31:1 says “I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?”. Job thus understand how important his eyes are and make covenant never to allow his eyes lead him astray.
The nude pictures you look at, sensual novels you read and exotic movies you watch would limit you. Most movies that are not documentaries, have sexual scenes in them. Even if they are not out rightly erotic or pornographic, they still give you enough sexual suggestions for you to keep on playing long after the movie is over.
There are things you feed and feast your eyes on that makes you lose your attention on getting to the top.
What you see/look at can either make or mar you.
Recently, I wrote that the theme for the year is FOCUS.
This year, you’ve got to be intentional by taking your eyes away from things that are sinful/limit you and gaze your attention on the essential things.

This is just the beginning of the year, adjust your position and be determined.
